Bruce Greenstein, the chief technology officer at the Department of Health and Human Services for the past year, has stepped down from his post to return to the private sector. He will join LHC Group, a provider of in-home and post-acute care services, as chief innovation and technology officer.
"Serving this department has been an honor and privilege for which I am incredibly grateful," Greenstein wrote in a blog post. "The people I have met and the team that has supported our efforts have been nothing short of stellar. I’m excited about the next chapter and look forward to bringing innovation to an area of healthcare that is long overdue for change. I wish everyone at HHS continued success on our important mission."

Connected wearable patch maker VitalConnect has hired Joe Lynch, former VP of marketing at Omnicell, as its new chief marketing officer. Lynch will facilitate the launch of the company's Vista Solution and VitalPatch wearable. Prior to Omnicell, Lynch also held marketing roles at Abbott and Boston Scientific.

Blink Health, which makes an app and online tool for helping consumers find low prices on medications, has hired a new executive vice president for cloud and specialty pharmacy. Michael Nameth previously filled executive roles at Walmart and Wellpoint.
“Michael’s expertise across all aspects of pharmacy will be invaluable in our efforts to help patients access all therapies their providers prescribe for their health needs,” Geoffrey Chaiken, cofounder and CEO of Blink Health, said in a statement. “His background makes him the ideal person to build our cloud pharmacy service that will give people more control over their prescriptions and ensure that everyone, regardless of insurance status, gets the lowest prices on their medications.”

In connection with a recent funding announcement, Dave Barrett, managing partner at Polaris, will be joining the board of directors at healthcare AI company OM1.
