The Hospital Room of the Future

We’ve been talking about the “hospital room of the future” for a while now.  I guess it’s safe to say the future is here in many regards.  However, when I recently sat down with Jeff Fallon, Chairman and CEO at eVideon he was more excited about the industry than he’s ever been before.  In fact, he talks about how things are different today than they have been in the past (Partial Spoiler Alert: One example is the EHR data is there to trigger actions).

Along with the evolving technology that changes the patient experience in the exam room, we also talk about how this impacts the clinician experience and things like burnout and staff satisfaction.  It’s amazing how the nurse call button can be improved with the right technology and workflows.  I ask him about the integrations they’ve done and how that impacts the workflow as well.  Plus, he shares some innovative examples of what their customers are doing with their technology  and what he sees coming in the future.  I have to say that their virtual whiteboard solution is a pretty creative solution that’s worth learning about.

Check out my interview with eVideon to learn more about what’s happening to improve the hospital room.
