Section 3603 of the Act requires FDA, in consultation with drug sponsors, medical device manufacturers, patients, and other stakeholders, to convene public workshops to solicit input from stakeholders on increasing the enrollment of historically underrepresented populations in clinical studies within a year of the Act’s enactment.
