Messy Production Servers, Emails, and COVID Masks – Fun Friday

Hard to believe it’s Friday, but maybe that’s just me.  This week has been crazy since all I want to do is watch the Olympics.  Some of you may have seen that I’d like an NFL Red Zone like version of the Olympics which only shows me the best parts or that the summer olympics needs to be over 3 months.  I finally gave up and just have been watching what I can and accepted that I can’t watch everything.  Social media spoils it for me anyway because of the time change, but I digress.

Actually, the point of a Fun Friday article is too digress, but at least let’s get to the humor.  We’ve got an eclectic mix for you today.

Ok. This one is really nerdy and that’s why I love it. If you’re not a DBA, some of it might not make sense. However, let’s just say there’s often a mess going on under the covers of most production servers. Clean up that we never get to…but we will eventually.

Honestly, this one is a bit of a pet peeve of mine. I hate when people don’t answer all the questions in an email and I get really mad at myself when I miss a question in my reply. Although, it happens every day.

Ok. This one’s not that funny, but I found it inspiring. If there’s anything I can take away from COVID, it’s how much I miss presence with people I love. I’m looking forward to more of that in the future and I appreciate the reminder.

Have a great weekend!
