Difference Between Machine Learning and AI – Fun Friday

It’s Friday after a long week at the 2021 HIMSS Annual conference in Las Vegas.  I always love the feeling the Friday of HIMSS.  I’m absolutely exhausted, but I’m also completely energized and excited for the future.  Sharing time with incredible people that are working hard to use technology to improve healthcare is so inspiring.

Of course, HIMSS was a source of great content as well.  In fact, this week’s Fun Friday only needs one entry because it’s so good.  It’s the funniest thing I saw at HIMSS and teaches a very important lesson too.  Check it out below:

If you’ve worked in machine learning and AI, then you’ll understand this well.  Most of what we do in healthcare is basic analytics and machine learning.  There’s very little true AI in healthcare.  Although, there’s a lot of AI in powerpoints!

Have a great weekend!
