Jessie’s Pen Parody by ZDoggMD – Fun Friday

I’m not sure how I missed this when I came out a few years back, but it’s a pretty hilarious “Hospital Pen Thief Parody” of Jessie’s Girl by Rick Springfield. Check out ZDoggMD’s parody below:

Healthcare organizations are so fascinating and have such a unique culture. Pens are no doubt one of the funniest pieces of that culture.  Whether it’s the pens at the front desk that are attached to spoons and flowers to avoid patients accidentally taking them (they’d never purposefully do it right) or doctors and nurses losing their pens.  It’s pretty funny. I was a little surprised that ZDoggMD didn’t comment on EMRs and not needing a pen anymore.  I figured that would have been the perfect ending.  I wonder how it’s impacted pen culture in healthcare.

Either way, enjoy this parody as you think about your pen experience in healthcare.  Have a great weekend!
