Here’s a description of the position:

Mid-Atlantic Nephrology Associates, P.A. is hiring for a Practice Management Systems position. The Practice Management Systems Administrator will work with practice leadership, Revenue Cycle Management, and the IT team on the maintenance, support, and upgrade of the Allscripts Practice Management System. The Systems Administrator will also have primary responsibility for the cloud based patient intake system as well as hospital and dialysis charge entry systems and integrations.

JOB DUTIES:

SUPPORT

Provide direct end user support and problem resolution.
Troubleshoot and coordinate system level issues with internal IT and vendor support resources.
Monitoring and coordinated support with interfaces between Electronic Medical Record, Patient Intake and charge entry systems.

MAINTENANCE

Creation and maintenance of user accounts and security.
Maintenance of application tables such as ICD10/CPT4 codes, internal and referral providers, insurance carriers, fee schedules, etc.
Maintenance of all back-end processes such as claims processing, carrier remittance, collections, and patient appointment scheduling and demographics.

TRAINING

Create and maintain training materials for all required staff training.
Training of front office and billing staff for new hire onboarding as well as refresher and upgraded feature training.

UPGRADE

Provide project management for all system upgrades including:
Coordination of required internal and external vendor resources.
Work with staff on development and management of upgrade testing plans.
Log and manage cases with vendor on post upgrade issues.
Maintain currency on upcoming upgrades and patch releases for all systems.

ADDITIONAL

Work with management in creation and maintenance of staff policies and procedures regarding responsible systems.
Analyze workflow and SOP procedures in relation to APM and ancillary systems to identify opportunities for improvement.
Work effectively with, develop, and nurture relationships with internal teams and partner organizations to reduce recurring errors and address business needs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Qualifications:

2+ years system administration in a healthcare IT role.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize time sensitive activities.
Possess strong communication and documentation skills.
Ability to perform at a high level of efficiency in a fast pace environment with competing priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Allscripts Practice Management (APM) or other healthcare practice management system.
