For the 29th episode of the CIO podcast hosted by Healthcare IT Today, we sat down with Ray Lowe, Senior Vice President, Chief Information Officer at AltaMed, during the HIMSS 2022 conference in Orlando. Along with talking about some of the high level leadership experience of Lowe, we also dove into the legacy application and archiving project he did with the team at Harmony Healthcare IT.
These types of projects are extremely important when it comes to security, ongoing legacy application costs, and most importantly continuity of care. Plus, Lowe had a unique challenge in that they needed to handle dental records as part of the archiving project. After one vendor failed to deliver, he worked with Harmony Healthcare IT to ensure his clinicians had access to these archived records with single sign on from Epic.
