Halifax County Public Health System Awarded the HIPAA Seal of Compliance
Halifax County Public Health System in North Carolina has demonstrated compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and the HITECH Act and has been awarded the HIPAA Seal of Compliance.
Halifax County Public Health System (HCPHS) is part of the North Carolina Public Health statewide system and provides community health, disease prevention, health services, and health promotion programs and helps to protect communities from undesired outcomes such as communicable diseases, epidemics, and contaminated food and water. Through its animal control, child health, communicable disease, environmental health, family planning, health education, immunization, maternal health, vital records, and WIC programs, HCPHS works towards achieving the highest possible level of health for the people of Halifax County.
