DigitalHealth.London has opened applications to their Launchpad programme which looks to develop the next generation of companies using innovations to transform health and care.

The programme aims to support early-stage companies which use innovation to support NHS staff and patients with those that are nearing launch into the health and social care market encouraged to apply.

The Launchpad will support companies by providing access to knowledge sharing events that will help them understand demand and bring the product or process to market.

Sara Nelson, programme director at DigitalHealth.London, said: “I’m delighted to announce the opening of applications to be part of the fifth cohort of the DigitalHealth.London Launchpad programme.

“We’ve supported 26 early-stage companies to launch products as part of the programme so far, and these innovations are now improving experiences for both NHS staff and patients.

“If you’re a digital health company developing a product or service that tackles the current challenges facing the NHS, I’d urge you to consider applying for this programme.”

In particular, the Launchpad will provide up to 12 hours of support consisting of workshops, one to one guidance from DigitalHealth.London consultants and advice from key founding and strategic partners to bring rich and diverse expertise across healthcare innovation.

Sophie Brooks, co-founder of Lister, who were in the fourth cohort of the programme, said: “The support of the DigitalHealth.London Launchpad programme has been instrumental in launching our product in the NHS.

“We have been supported by a great team who’ve helped us pinpoint and define the value of our product, as well as supporting us with our evidence standard. As you are building a start-up, you must learn about every component a business consists of,” she added.

“Marketing was one aspect that I fell short on, but the DigitalHealth.London team helped to define the voice we wanted to portray. We have now implemented this into a social media and marketing strategy.

“I have also really enjoyed accessing peer support through the programme and meeting other founders in the digital health-tech space.”

Other companies that have previously taken part in the Launchpad programme include Ally Health, MedQ, Patientcheck.in, Medwise, The Exercise Clinic, Thalamos, Healthtech IT and Virtue.

Applications for the Launchpad programme opened on Monday 31 October and close at midnight on Sunday 13 November. For companies who are successful and are offered a place, support will begin in January 2023.

The Launchpad is not the only DigitalHealth.London programme aiming to support digital health companies. In September, applications opened for a new evidence data bootcamp, which will help digital health companies to navigate the complexities of generating evidence data.
