Healthcare Charges Parody – Fun Friday

The Onion has been doing parody well for so long that it’s actually surprising that they haven’t done more about healthcare.  Although, when HIStalk pointed out this parody by The Onion, I had to share it with you all for this week’s Fun Friday.

In the parody, they talk about a woman being charged for a $700 ED visit after she waited 7 hours in the waiting room and then left without receiving treatment.  The gold in this though was the following responses to the situation:

I mean it is a privilege to go into a hospital and be treated by some of the most educated and caring people in the world.  Although, I don’t know anyone that likes our reimbursement system, but ironically we also can’t seem to let it go either.

Have a great weekend!
