Happy Friday amidst the health IT conferences that dominate our lives that are ViVE and HIMSS. If you’re like me, you love it since you get to see so many incredible friends and colleagues. Although, it’s also exhausting. Thus, it’s fitting that today’s edition of Fun Friday where we let our hair down and don’t take things too seriously is pretty Epic (no pun intended).
From the title, you know you’re in for a ride, so here we go….
Breaking: #Healthcare clinicians using @Cerner EHR will soon be able to place a med order by performing the Cupid shuffle… 💃🏽🕺🏾 https://t.co/APBifu6whD

Aaron Miri is brilliant, but this is just amazing. Oracle, Cerner, and TikTok. A match made in heaven?!?! I must admit I kind of want to see Aaron do the Cupid shuffle now.
You mean a #HIMSS #Manel. And of course they are talking about #Blockchain

Seems fitting before HIMSS and after ViVE to enjoy some conference humor. Although, you know that’s not a health IT panel since they’re not wearing branded socks which I expect will be plentiful at HIMSS.
Finally, on Epic Share, Judy shared this story about a bloody nose she had visiting some executives in Florida:
Sean and I flew to Florida for an executive meeting with his prospective customer. The room held about 20 people, and we were getting it set up. Some of the attendees started to come in. I said that I was going to run to the bathroom to put on some lipstick. As I was looking in the mirror, I heard a “plop.” I looked down and there was blood in the sink. Then more and more. It was raining blood. I ran to one of the stalls and grabbed toilet paper. Within seconds, the paper was all soaked with blood. I ran for more. Again, in seconds it soaked through. My white blouse was all bloody.
I realized I had to get back to the room, bloody or not. I walked in and people looked at me in shock and shouted, ”What happened?” I said, ”Sean punched me.” Sean screamed, ”No!”
Be sure to read the rest of the story, but it was nice of them to get her some medical help and even help her clean up her white shirt. Some may wonder why Judy is sharing stories like this, but I think it illustrates perfectly why Judy has been so successful. She’s completely herself and people like her and all her quirks.
Have a great weekend and I hope to see a bunch of you in Orlando…and plenty of hugs if you’re up for it.
