MyOpNotes has been awarded Innovate UK grant funding, allowing it to contribute to West Yorkshire’s ambition for innovation in health technologies in line with the Levelling Up agenda.

MyOpNotes was awarded the grant as part of the Launchpad: health technology West Yorkshire competition, supported by Leeds Innovation Pop-up, Health Innovation Yorkshire and Humber and the NHS InSites Programme.

The medtech start-up is a Propel@YH alumni, one of 11 companies that joined the accelerator programme in October last year. Through this, it is benefitting from tailored advice and support to help accelerate company growth and increase its market presence.

MyOpNotes was selected by Innovate UK for its potential to transform healthcare in the region. The collaboration will help ensure the technology is effectively integrated into the NHS, where it can help improve patient outcomes and enhance hospital efficiencies.

The grant funding will support the company to continue to develop and deploy its digital technology throughout the NHS, to benefit surgeons, patients and NHS trusts.

The MyOpNotes platform aims to streamline the workload of surgeons, boosting patient care and ensuring accurate financial remuneration for hospitals by automating clinical coding. The platform can capture precise data from surgeons, helping to smooth reimbursement processes.

Features and capabilities of MyOpNotes include the ability to record notes directly to patient records; include diagrams, photos and videos in the operation note; and evidence-based templates.

In total 70 companies applied for the funding, with just eight being honoured with the grant.
